Secondary Education Not For You?

It's that time of year where you may behaving second thoughts about the career path that you are exploring in university or college. You may be coming to the conclusion that postsecondary education may not be right for you.

You wanta good paying job, but the time it's going to take to get a degree orcertificate for a "maybe" position in 4 years does not have theappeal it did in July.

You enjoyvisiting new places in North America and you love road trips. Perhaps you areready to consider a career in long haul trucking.

For theright type of person, long haul truck driving is a great job, but it’s not foreveryone.

The Perfect Fit
The right type of person for long haul driving is self-motivated, loves travel, and enjoys being alone. It’s ideal for independent people who can work withoutsupervision, and still get the job done.

There’snobody out there on the road with you (except other drivers), so you’ll have tobe able to spend long periods of time by yourself, with nothing but yourthoughts and your playlist for entertainment.

The mostimportant quality in a long haul driver, in our experience, is a love oftravel. It’s not a job for homebodies. The best truck drivers enjoy the freedomof the open road, and while they might enjoy the comforts of home, are equallyhappy out on the road.
